Being a part of a team means teamwork, something most of us at my company realized until it came time to go get our business team photos in Los Angeles. With my black hair and olive skin, I was always fading into the background any time a dark background was used, so when our boss said we had to have business team photos in Los Angeles done to put up on the company wall in the lobby of our business, I wanted to balk. Not only had the ones I tried to do turned out horribly, but I also didn’t see what the big deal was about having professional headshots done, to begin with. Turns out, I was wrong in a lot of ways on that one.

Meaning that it’s the first thing about you someone sees when they click on your website, read your blog, or even walk into your lobby and browse the bulletin board while they are waiting to be seen.
Secondly, your team headshot tells a story. First, about how proud you are to work for the company you do or run the company you run, and when it’s done by the right professional photographer, your headshot can help your personality and your expertise shine through as well. I learned that it’s important to have a headshot ready at all times because you just never know when an opportunity is going to present itself and you’ll need it to move up in your career or even to transfer to another brand.
